Wincanton's UK and Ireland businesses delivered first-half performance, chief executive Graeme McFaull (pictured) says in a pre-close statement.
He anticipates full-year results in line with expectations. The continental operations had a tough half-year but are expected to do better in the second half.
Also announced is an expanded relationship with Somerfield to become sole third-party logistics provider, a relationship that will be worth £900m in turnover over the next five years.
"The UK remains a growth market for Wincanton both in respect of our existing customers and the ability to expand our range of services and sectors," McFaull says.
