A skip hire firm that dumped 30 tonnes of waste has been fined £7,500 with £2,000 costs. Dhillon Skip Hire of Leicester was convicted before Leicester magistrates of illegal dumping charges.
The court heard that environmental health officers visited the company and found the waste piled up in its yard. Fires had been lit to try and get rid of timber. The firm said waste had been dumped by other skip users.
