Tanker haulier Treasure Transport's balance sheet is looking healthy following its move to a larger base its shareholder funds increased by £135,000 in 2005.
Figures for the year to 31 December 2005 show a rise from £1.2m in 2004 following the relocation from Tuxford, Notts, to Grantham, Lincs, in May 2005.
Director Peter Greenhalgh says turnover increased during the period by 12% to £3.5m and gross profit went up 13%. He adds that pre-tax profits dropped by 5% due to the cost of the new site.
Treasure Transport operates as a general haulier with a tanker arm moving to the six-acre site in Grantham has allowed it to develop a tank cleaning service. Greenhalgh explains: "It gives us another string to our bow. The site was arguably bigger than we wanted, but we will develop into it - there's room for expansion.
"We are pleased," he concludes. "Obviously it's not an easy industry to succeed in and do well, but we will just keep trying."
