PSA-Fiat alliance reviewed

16 November 2006

PSA Peugeot Citroën chief executive Jean-Martin Folz announced his retirement last week, at the press conference he co-hosted with Fiat boss Sergio Marchionne. Folz told journalists that his successor had not yet been chosen.

When questioned after presenting the new light commercial vehicle range, Marchionne spoke of trying to attain an '"acceptable co-existence between Fiat and Iveco" commercial vehicles, saying that there was still work to be done in the new year.

"We are relatively  comfortable with the plans we have in place," Marchionne added, before going on to confirm that commercial vehicle production "is the most profitable part of Fiat Auto".
