Eglinton comes from DHL, where he has clocked up 17 years' service in various roles, including UK sales and operations man-agement for the freight forwarding business. In his new role at Christian Salvesen, Eglinton will work with each of the business unit managing directors.
Pallet network Pall-Ex has appointed Maurice Birkett as senior network development manager, with network development regional managers and the team co-ordinator as direct reports. Birkett (Right) has had a lengthy
career in distrib-ution, having worked in the past for Amtrak Ex-press, APC and Guardsman UK.
Tony Stevenson is the new sales manager for Scotland and Northern Ireland for tipper bodybuilder Thompsons. Stevenson will manage sales in all the group's activities in the region. His 18-year career in heavy truck and tipper sales includes stints at MAN, Edbro and Mercedes-Benz.
Stena Line has appointed Michael McGrath (above right) as its new area director for the Irish Sea operations. McGrath was previously managing director for Stena Line Freight, having worked with the group for ten years. He will take responsibility for the strategic direction of the leisure and freight business over the company's five Irish Sea routes.
MIS Fuel Monitoring has appointed Stephen Hannan as its new sales director. He has joined the company with Kathy Withers who is responsible for sales administration. Hannan was previously commercial manager at Gilbarco Veeder-Root, while Withers
was previously its contract administrator.
