JDR suffers lost contracts

JDR Group reports that it had "difficult trading conditions due to the loss of contract work" in 2005. The transport solutions company underwent a management buyout in January 2006, with its assets and trade sold to JDR Distribution. Its latest results for the year to December 31, 2005 report a pre-tax loss of £207,306, an improvement on the loss of £233,507 for the 14 months to December 2004.

An operating loss of £186,116 in 2005 was a slight fall on the £185,920 loss in 2004. Gross  profit for the company dipped to £309,842 in 2005, from £499,706 in 2004. Average staff numbers for 2005 were slashed to 77 from 101 in 2004, while staff costs dipped to £1.38m in 2005 from £2.49m in 2004. No emoluments were paid to directors.
