Rental fleet beats Euro-4 deadline with bulk order

07 December 2006

Truck rental firm Salford Van Hire has placed itself firmly in the Euro-3 camp by ordering 200 new Dafs to arrive before October's Euro-4 deadline. Salford believes they will offer bigger savings to its customers as the technology is less complex.

Company chairman Raffaello Bacci says: "This is a bulk order which we have completed at the right time to give us the best possible deal for ourselves and our customers. It gives us the chance to invest heavily now to keep our prices low for customers."

The 9m spend includes 140 tractors (30 CF85 4x2s, 50 CF85 6x2s and 60 XF95 4x2s) and 60 rigids (40 LF45s and 20 CF65s).
