Pre-tax profit at the warehousing and distribution company fell to £350,327 in the year to December 31, 2005, down from £507,394 in 2004. Turnover was slightly down at £11.7m in 2005.
Gross profit nudged downwards to £4.99m in 2005 from £5.06m in 2004, while operating profit dipped to £702,338 in 2005 from £899,084 in 2004.
Average monthly employee numbers dropped by seven to 211 in 2005, while payroll costs were down to £5.24m in 2005 from £5.36m in 2004.
Directors' emoluments
also fell, to £256,248 in 2005 from £264,935 in 2004. No final dividend was recommended for 2005, but an interim dividend of £200,000 was paid.
