Transport for London's Traffic Control Centre is planning to add LGV attributes data to TfL's real-time traffic management website. Data will be plotted by the end of the year on to Traffic News informing users of height and weight restrictions on London's roads. The LTCC has received current restriction data from the Ordnance Survey.
But the data only accounts for roads with signposted information of its restrictions, says the LTCC, so unsigned roads with restrictions will not be captured.
The LTCC will rely on feedback from users when the new addition to the site is piloted. No date for the LGV upgrade was available when Motor Transport visited the LTCC last week.
