UK-based Clean Air Power has won a major contract to supply between 50 and 70 of its Dual-Fuel gas/diesel truck engine installations to an Australian haulier. The Mitchell Corporation, which runs a fleet of roadtrains in excess of 100 tonnes GVW down the west coast of Australia, estimates that the move will generate annual fuel savings of up to £40,000 per truck. CAP's chief executive John Pettitt says: "We have over 1,600 Dual-Fuel installations working in some very demanding environments around the world. Natural gas is very clean and widely available and we are beginning to receive some exciting enquiries from operators around the globe."
