Avia Trucks UK is to fit all its Euro-4 trucks with front and rear Albion Automotive axles supplied from Albion’s Glasgow factory.
Andy Granger, business development director for Avia Ashok Leyland Motors AS, says: “Avia Trucks has a massive UK product and engineering content. The cab was designed in Britain; the Cummins engines and Euro-4 catalysts are built and supplied through the Cummins factory in Darlington; and the Isringhausen seat is manufactured in and supplied from Wrexham in Wales.”
“Indeed, many people won't be aware that the majority
share holding in Avia's parent company Ashok Leyland is the London-based Hinduja Group,” Granger adds.
