A 'non clogging' Emitec diesel particulate filter (DPF) is being offered as a retrofit by Daf Trucks in Holland for Euro 3 CF and XF truck models. The metal open-mesh/fleece filter is claimed to reduce PM emissions by around 50%. Its installation qualifies in Holland for a subsidy of over €6,000.
There are no plans to offer the filter in the UK.
