A spokesman for the Traffic Commissioners tells MT that "the issue of identity in relation to O-licence applicants has been discussed by the traffic commissioners and a review is underway," following calls from Chris Heaps last week for new measures to make licence applicants prove their identity. Previously the system had been based on trust and this cannot continue, the spokesman says.
