The Drivers Action Movement has come up with some interesting demands. One is a unified rate across Europe that "nobody can undercut and is monitored to keep in line with fair costs across the board". Good idea guys, but dream on.
It also wants the government to instruct every local authority to build proper LGV overnight parking facilities with safe and security patrolled parking areas that include toilets, washing facilities, safety equipment on site, segregation of fridges and hazardous vehicles and are close to food outlets.
Good idea, and much needed - but what about adding a health club for drivers, maybe a swimming pool and an executive lounge with waiter service? It would do marvels for recruitment.
