DAF has launched a heavy haulage tractor unit and uprated the transmission on its tippers.

The XF105 FTM is an 8x4 heavy transport tractor with double-drive tandem and steered leading rear axle. Powered by the 12.9-litre six-cylinder PACCAR MX engine, producing up to 510hp with 2,500Nm of torque, it is rated for GCWs up to 120 tonnes.

• The CF75 and CF85 6x4 and 8x4 rigids have gained ZF AS-Tronic automated boxes for all-terrain  work.
