Cumbrian haulier Tyson H Burridge saw both operating profit and pre-tax profit grow during the year to March 31, 2006.
Operating profit climbed to £456,066 in 2006 from £249,167 in 2005 while pre-tax profit also grew to £514,005 from £291,383.
The directors declined to reveal the company's turnover figure for the year but they say that even though the haulage side of the business, based in Distington, had made a profit,
investments and interests other than road transport had contributed towards growth in 2006.
For the future, the directors say that current activities would be continued with a view to "protecting profitability and extending it where possible".
