The RHA has called for an increase in the "outdated" speed limit of 40mph for trucks on major trunk roads. Regional director for Scotland and Northern Ireland Phil Flanders says: "We believe an increase in the speed limit on high-grade major trunk roads is needed on grounds of safety and efficiency."
