United Pallet Network's directors "remain confident for the future success and growth of the company," says finance director David Gannon.
He says that the year to March, 2006 was "successful and is duly reflected in the balance sheet with an improved current ratio in liquidity". UPN was "returning record profits in 2006," he adds.
The 2007 financial year will show the investment the network has made to develop, Gannon says, including the expansion to its hub in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, the appointment of an "experienced" senior management team and the network's real time live website and signature capture software.
Abbreviated accounts for 2006 show that shareholders' funds fell to £300,486 from £321,281 for 2005.
