Telematics service provider Cybit has acquired Thales Telematics from Thales Group.
Cybit's chief executive officer Richard Horsman says the acquisition "firmly positions the group as one of the leading European telematics service providers". Cybit adds it will provide ongoing support for "existing solutions".
Thales' customers include Fowler Welch Coolchain and Unichem. Cybit says that the acquisition will add more than 400 customers
and 10,000 to its vehicle telematics base, and will enable Cybit to reach into new sectors, including mining, exploration and security.
