Northampton's GS Logistics is planning for expansion, thanks to contracts with NYK Logistics and Morrisons - it has bought a Euro 5 Volvo FH 520 6x2 tractor unit.
Owner Stuart Goodman explains: "I was interested in potential government incentives for early adopters of Euro 5. As it happens, the government hasn't gone ahead with those incentives yet. But I'll be running the Volvo for quite a while, so there's plenty of time for developments."
Goodman says he is driving the truck
himself at the moment, but adds: "When I find a good driver to take on, I want to be able to point to the truck as an example of the kind of company we are."
