Eddie Stobart is staying put at its Appleton site in Warrington despite widespread reports to the contrary, as it undertakes a major expansion programme.
Managing director William Stobart has confirmed that the haulier will remain on its existing site, while the parent company WA Developments International, moves from Appleton to Kingmoor Park, north of Carlisle.
WA Developments is a contractor for the rail industry operating nationwide for Network Rail.
