Iveco has appointed Henk van Leuven, currently head of Iveco in the Benelux and Scandinavian markets, as new managing director in the UK, replacing Chris Thorneycroft-Smith.
Van Leuven has held senior positions with Bova, Iveco Netherlands and DAF, before joining Iveco SpA in 2001 where he was commercial director of the heavy truck business unit in Turin. Two years later he was appointed commercial director of Irisbus’ European operations, after having overseen the Stralis launch and developing Iveco’s dealer network in Russia.
Van Leuven arrives at his position just one month before the launch of the updated Stralis.
