Felixstowe haulier James Kemball says it wants to expand its business to other
A spokesman for the company says it is "actively looking to set up operations in ports other than Felixstowe". The company disclosed its plans as it posted results for the year to December 2006. Pre-tax profit edged up by 1.4% to £731,472 while turnover grew by 19% to £14.8m.
James Kemball also plans to continue its capital investment programme during 2007 after expanding its fleet last year in response to increased demand. The company recently doubled the size of its Felixstowe facility to just below five acres. The director’s report says part of James Kemball's ongoing investment programme will include buying trailers for rental to sub-contractors - this started during 2006.
