Sealane gets first Don-Bur double-deck road train

22 March 2007

Harpenden-based Sealane has taken delivery of its first Don-Bur double-deck road train, as part of its move into groupage services. The trailer takes 60 standard pallets and offers a maximum payload of 25 tonnes.

It will be used as part of the company's express groupage services, mainly in the Benelux area. Sales director Alan Coffey says: "For the groupage that we're doing we're finding it very useful for products that cannot be stacked on top of each other.

"It's a little bit  experimental, but hopefully it's going to be as good as we expect," he adds.
