In November of this year will begin introducing our Euro 5 range featuring Scania EGR technology, which we believe will be the preferred technological solution for the majority of transport operators. However, in common with all other manufacturers, there will be a price premium attached to our Euro 5 engines - so whether the £500 RPC on offer will be sufficient to persuade operators to adopt the new standard ahead of its mandatory introduction date, remains to be seen. Nonetheless, we remain fully supportive of the principle."
