French logistics company Norbert Dentressangle describes its financial position as sound after posting an increase in turnover to €1.6bn (£1.1bn) during 2006. Operating profit increased to €69.2m (£47.1m) from €51.4m (£35m) in 2005, representing a margin of 5.2%.
The firm remains confident about growth for the coming year. It expects turnover to be boosted by between 6% and 8% and to see an increase in profits that will enable it to move towards its 'Challenge 2008' targets. It adds: "Bolstered
by these strengths and a sound financial position, Norbert Dentressangle Group is well positioned to benefit highly from market potential and to play an active role in a sector which is undergoing concentration."
