Samworth Brothers Distribution, the chilled transport arm of the firm that owns Ginsters Pasties, is expanding as it attempts to move more into third-party transport.
Its Leicester site will see capacity increase by 50%. It is also opening a new 3,000m2 site in Bristol. Total investment is almost £4m.
MD Nick Hay says: "I think the reason
is that we offer a competitive, high quality service - that's what's driving us.We regularly turn down work - we won't chase it on rate."
