Since our review of the UK trailer business went to press, we have confirmed that Schmitz Cargobull is to launch a range of sliding-floor and tipping semi-trailers. The trailers, which will be built at Gotha in Germany, will be sold exclusively in the UK and the Republic of Ireland by R&I Trailer Sales, formerly the agents for the rival range from Knapen. R&I MD Allan Bradshaw says his target for the only fully in-house-built product on the market is 100 sales in the first year. The range will  be supported by the R&I and Schmitz service networks the first example will be displayed at the CV Show.
