A director described as "an unremitting charlatan with an eye for the main chance" by North Western traffic commissioner Beverley Bell has lost his operators licence. Bell disqualified Wirral-based Cheshire Demolition Services and sole director Anthony Bilbao from obtaining a licence indefinitely. Bilbao had been a director of Loyns Skip Hire, whose licence was revoked last June.
Bell heard that a skip wagon in Loyns Skip Hire livery displaying a Cheshire Demolition O-licence disc was checked in August. The vehicle was specified both on Cheshire Demolition's and Ernest Radcliffe's licences and was impounded after it was concluded that neither were the operator. Subsequent enquiries revealed Radcliffe had allowed his operators' licence to be used by Bilbao and one Michael Jones.
Bell said Companies House searches revealed Bilbao held 14 company appointments including three resignations and eight dissolutions.
