Sliding bogie tippers set for UK

12 April 2007

Dennison's sliding bogie tipper trailers are selling well in Ireland, and now the manufacturer wants to replicate this success in the UK. According to managing director James Dennison, the trailers make more financial sense to the construction industry than eight-leggers, both in terms of manoeuvrability and payload.

"It will carry an extra 10 tonnes, and it's a fallacy that they aren't as manoeuvrable as a rigid. In the closed position they can access places that an eight-legger can't",  he told MT in Lancaster last week. "Although they are selling well in Ireland, we are finding it a very difficult concept to get across here."
