Williams Tanker Services is to start importing non-tipping bulk powder tankers from Italian manufacturer O.ME.P.S.
It was demonstrating a 36m3 version of the trailer aimed at the cement market at the CV Show – which also comes in a standard 39m3 model.
Product sales manager Alan Ransome says that the construction market is increasingly demanding non-tipping trailers. He adds: “The trouble with tippers is that they tend to fall over if they are not looked after properly – there’s so many variables; drivers, the weather and so on.
“A lot of companies won’t have tipping tanks on their site anymore so it’s non-tip or nothing.”
Williams Tanker Services is also the importer for Belgian manufacturer LAG and it was showing a 33,400lit bitumen tanker built for Scottish haulier Harry Lawson of Broughty Ferry near
It has also recently delivered 6 similar tankers for chemical firm Nynas.
