A handful of transport companies have made it into a list of the top 100 private businesses with the fastest growing profits.
Trailer manufacturer Wordsworth Holdings came into the annual Sunday Times list at number 26, while Sheffield parcels courier Tuffnells entered at number 52 and food distributor Yearsley Group got in at number 60.
West Midlands Scania truck dealer Keltruck hit number 63. Chairman Chris Kelly says: "We centre very firmly on customer satisfaction and I very firmly believe this is the key to the future success of the business."
Fuel distributor Watson Petroleum, which runs 170 tankers, came in at 86 and Hanbury Holdings took 92nd place. Chairman Glyn Davies says: "The result is not a direct reflection on the transport business it is a component of Hanbury Holdings but there are two other activities as well, property development and truck sales."
Retlan Manufacturing, which includes SDC Trailers, was 99 in the list.
