Thompsons of Prudhoe is delighted with the first new-generation Volvo FLs to join its 130-strong predominantly Volvo fleet.
The 4x2 skiploaders, which have the 240hp Euro 4 SCR-equipped engines, are described by assistant transport manager Andy McGrouther as "spacious, economical and very comfortable". He tells MT that the trucks only need to be filled with AdBlue once a week, and that the drivers have taken to the system with no problems.
"It certainly isn't the big issue we were
led to believe" he says.
The FLs are fitted with Edbro skiploading gear.
