Christian Salvesen has created a dedicated aviation logistics team which will target airport groups and boost its turnover in the sector by an anticipated £10m within three years. The company has been operating at UK airports for the past ten years, providing multi-temperature logistics services to airlines, operators and caterers, including British Airways and Alpha Flight Services.
Its strategy now is to offer services for cargo handling, import and export, crew services, retail and catering logistics, as well as warehousing and transport operations. The team will be made up of a business development manager and three project managers. Christian Salvesen's current turnover in the aviation market is £20m, which it hopes to increase to £30m by 2010.
