A transport roadshow aimed at educating the industry on drink and drug driving has prompted many operators to introduce an alcohol and drugs policy, according to driver training firm TTC Group.
The company has trained hauliers and drivers in seminars throughout the UK over the past 14 months.
TTC road safety manager Colin Pettener says: "We discovered many firms did not have an alcohol or drugs policy for the workplace. Operators wanted details on how they set up a policy in their business which is something that we are providing for them."
