Rail minister Tom Harris gives £44m for rail grants

Rail minister Tom Harris has awarded £44m for new rail freight grants. The grants, announced at the Rail Freight 2007 conference, mean more than 631million truck km will be removed from Britain's roads over the next three years. Recipients include Eddie Stobart, awarded £707,620, Kuehne + Nagel and John G Russell Transport who both get £1.4m.
