Phoenix Northern cites value for money as one of the key reasons for ordering its first-ever Ivecos. The two 18-tonne Eurocargo's, which are also the first Euro 4 vehicles on the Sunderland-based company's 25-strong rental fleet, have been supplied by North East Truck & Van. They are both fitted with Econ split-compartment hot-box bodies, which allow the trucks to carry a mix of surfacing materials. "We looked at vehicles from Iveco, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo before ordering the Eurocargos," says
director Tony O'Donnell. "There was little price difference between the three marques, but we felt the Eurocargo offered a slightly better specification for the money."
