Volvo has appointed Claes Nilsson as head of its Europe division, following the departure of incumbent Roar Isaksen, who is leaving to join Plastal Group AB. Nilsson is presently in charge of the international division. The timing for the transition will be determined in the coming weeks.
The Europe division delivered 49,200 trucks in 2006, which represents 47% of the company's total deliveries. Almost 8,000 employees are currently working in the European operation.
