The Welsh Ambulance Service ordered the 5.0-tonne Sprinter 515CDIs after winning a £16m grant from the Welsh Assembly to update its ageing fleet.
The new ambulances, which arrived via Cardiff dealer Euro Commercial, account for half of the WAS front-line fleet. They feature M-B's Adaptive ESP anti-skid and BAS break assist system, Telma retarders, tail-lifts, hydraulic stretchers and wheel-chairs.
