LGV training and recruitment specialist Clearstone says it intends to expand its network and workforce, following its recent administration and subsequent acquisition. The firm went into administration in June and was then acquired by private equity firm RCapital, and says it will now be known as Careeroutes, trading as Clearstone Training and Recruitment.
A spokesman for Clearstone says: "This turnaround investment tenables the management team to continue its efforts to expand the training centre network and workforce while driving improvement in training and recruitment of LGV drivers. "Unfortunately, as part of this investment process Clearstone Training and Recruitment has been wound down."
Skills for Logistics (SfL) has confirmed it has terminated its contract with Clearstone for it to be one of 11 contractors working on SfL's Women in Work project - a government-funded initiative to encourage women working in Logistics to become drivers. Director Mick Jackson says: "We sent them a note on July 4 terminating the contract."
