TIP has invested more than £8m in new acquisitions for its trailer rental fleet in the UK.
THey comprise 165 Schmitz 13.6m controlled-temperature trailers, 100 with Carrier and 65 with Theromo King fridge units, as well as 293 container-haulage skeletals, coming mainly from SDC and Dennison.
The majority are scheduled for delivery before the end of September, says managing director John Murray. He says the TIP fleet is being further updated through the refurbishment of 500 older
trailers.
Last year TIP put 463 new trailers into UK service.
