An unusual two-thirds, one-third, rear-entry layout giving a choice of either tail-lift or unimpeded fork-lift access through a single hinged door is a feature of 19 Daf LF refrigerated 13-tonners going into service with Dairy Farmers of Britain, a co-operative of 2,600 farmers across the UK.

They are on contract-hire from Petit Forestier with full service support as part of the package and are assigned to DFB's urban deliveries operation. The GRP one-piece panelled bodywork is by  Solomon Refrigerated Vehicles, with Carrier Xarios 600 fridge equipment, is specified for wholly chilled product distribution.

The Ratcliff column tail-lift, for on- and off-loading roll pallets, spans the left-hand two-thirds of the body width, behind an insulated wide-slat shutter.
