Innovate Wins Institute’s Supply Chain Award

31 July 2007

Innovate Logistics has won a Best Temperature Controlled Supply Chain Company award after proving it has a 'total quality management approach' and strong relationships with its customers.

The Institute of Transport Management (ITM) says it chose the fast-growing logistics company to win the award after "extensive  market research" into the sector and testimonials from its clients. One came from the managing director of supply chain solutions provider Manhattan Associates UK. Innovate selected its warehouse management system for its 145,000sq ft distribution centre serving Grampian Foods in Worksop.

Manhattan MD Allen Scott says: "Innovate Logistics is a company that is going from strength to strength. We are delighted that the company has taken the decision to implement our warehouse management solution for its remaining UK sites, and we look forward to continuing to support Innovate during this exciting period of growth."

Innovate says the ITM also highlighted its environmental credentials, including environmentally-friendly refrigeration systems, dual fuel trucks and introducing carbon-neutral schemes.

Innovate MD Pete Osborne says: "Winning this award is a true honour. We have worked hard to implement a strategic vision that differentiates us from other logistics providers  - and that had made us the leading temperature-controlled logistics provider in the UK."

The ITM's Patrick Sheedy adds: "It is a company that has enjoyed rapid growth and significant financial performance."
