Thursday 02 August 2007 12:00

A Coventry-based haulage firm has been forced out of business after being hit by a series of bad debts.

Bedworth Transport of Exhall has gone into liquidation, with the loss of 20 jobs. According to director Jamie Walker a series of bad debts amounting to more than £30,000 had hit the company's profitability.

He added that the directors of the company who had all put up personal guarantees now face losing their homes as a result of the collapse.

He said: "We have put our homes at risk guaranteeing the finances of the company."
