A crash involving three trucks and a car on the M25 between Junctions Six and Seven on Friday 10 August caused the motorway to close for nine and half hours.
The crash happened just after 7.30am and caused tailbacks for 15 miles into Kent. Two lanes were up and running again by 5pm, though it took until 6.40pm to clear the rest according to the Highways Agency.
The clear-up took so long due to one of the trucks ending up across two lanes of the motorway and dumping its load of plasterboard across the road.
One person was injured in the crash and taken to hospital. One of the trucks involved was from Maidstone-based Alan Firmin, but the company was unwilling to comment as the crash is still under investigation.
