Simpson Packaging has purchased an MAN TGA drawbar - the first MAN and the first wagon-and-drag on its all-Mercedes-Benz fleet.
The TGA XLX 6x2 prime mover, which is an addition to the 11-strong fleet, is coupled to a Wheelbase-built 22-ft trailer and represents an investment of £120,000. It was purchased to serve its London customers, and delivers to areas where the firm's artics were struggling.
Transport manager Gary Ward cites MAN's EGR route to Euro 4 as a key reason for opting for the marque, and says he expects to buy more in the future. "The AdBlue decision is one we are anxious to avoid," he says.
