The driver of a car involved in a collision with a truck near Castleford, West Yorkshire died last week, bringing the number of fatalities from the accident to three. Two female passengers in the car, an Audi, were killed at the time of the collision on 19 August. The male driver died later last week in Leeds Infirmary.

Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses but have not named the operator or driver of the truck involved in the accident, which happened in California Drive on the Europort Industrial Estate at Whitwood.
