British hauliers angered by the long wait for a new truck can count themselves lucky compared with some other European countries. "Great Britain has one of the shortest lead times in Europe," explains MAN board member Peter Erichreineke.
"In Eastern Europe we are saying to customers to forget about 2008 altogether." He says the situation is beginning to improve, but in the meantime MAN's loyal customers are getting priority.
