Mitsubishi Fuso Canter claims its parts and servicing network has given it an advantage over its competitors in the UK light truck market. Mike Mudie, UK Fuso Canter product manager, says the support given by parent company Mercedes-Benz's commercial vehicle dealer network has provided "huge benefits".
He adds: "I just don't believe any of the other manufacturers in the sector can beat the package we can offer. We have a dedicated and talented team of engineers and the support available is very impressive." The company also offers a three-year, unlimited-mileage warranty.
The Canter range, which includes two cabin versions, a choice of seven wheelbases and three weight variants from 3.5 tonnes to 7.5 tonnes, competes with the likes of the Isuzu NKR and Renault Maxity. The Canter range is assembled at the Mitsubishi Fuso factory in Tramagal, Portugal. Parts come from a range of countries, including the UK.
"High production quality, and extensive final 
inspec-tion checks have made for a tough and reliable truck," Mudie says. "We have an excellent distribution system in place and Canter lead times for customers in the UK are very competitive."
