Eagle-i offers tax advice

28 September 2007

A free booklet explaining the recent changes to Benefit-in-Kind (BIK) taxation on vans has been published by telematics service provider Eagle-i. BIK Explained is, according to its publisher, a comprehensive and impartial guide to the business risks and financial implications associated with the new legislation.

Ian Walmsley, chief executive of Eagle-i, says: "Recent feedback from fleet operators suggests there is a great deal of confusion surrounding the new BIK van charges and what  does or does not constitute compliance." Best advice from leading employment tax specialists indicates that simply banning private use of a van is not sufficient to avoid BIK charges.
